BABY SHOWER for Baby Ewan!!!
Hello to all! Thank you so much for you cards, calls, and gifts!!!
This past week and a half has been a whirl wind for us. We can't believe the little guy came early!! 5 WEEKS!!!
Thank goodness he did though, with a true knot in his umbilical cord things got pretty scary as they very urgently said to Rachel, "YOU HAVE TO KEEP PUSHING AND GET HIM OUT NOW!". Rachel was hoping to catch a breath, but there was no time! 10 minutes and wham-o, he was out!! Go Rachel!!!!
UPDATE:
We currently are praying for him to have healthy kidney's. They found that he only had two vessels leading from placenta to umbilical cord, and you are suppose to have 3! When they see this they have to check the kidney's of the baby because they could have only 1 kidney, possibly 3 kidney's, which then one would probably have to be removed, or an infected kidney.
We are praying that none of this is our little guys future!!
We have an ultra sound scheduled on Monday to determine the status of his kidney's. We will keep you posted!!
BABY SHOWER:
Now for the shower. :) This unfortunately didn't turn out exactly how we hoped with him coming early. Rachel's good friend Lori wanted a cake and all, but with the little man coming early we have had to tweek our plans a bit.
The first video is of our home. (for those of you who haven't seen where we live, we thought you might enjoy this, and so you can see how we are squeezing another member into our home).
We already opened the gifts because we needed to see what we got in order to not go buy more of something. (so there won't be a video of Rachel opening as we had planned). We were in a sudden rush to get things since the little guy came early!!!

welcome ewan!
5 Weeks Early! He surprised us all, including mommy when she thought she was taking a regular pee break, it became much more!!!
God protected them both. No infections. They were concerned that there was an infection because Rachel had a fever. After taking blood samples from both (ewan once he was born) it was all ruled out. We believe God brought Ewan early because there was a "true knot" in the umbilical chord. This could cause his heart rate to lower, less calories and nutrients, ect...
His heart rate did lower while delivering, but Rachel pushed him out in 10 minutes so the worries of possible emergency c-section quickly disolved.
We thank God for our Angels!!!
